Digital space has become a landfill of AI slop. The world's brightest engineers now work not toward human progress or space travel, but toward the decline of human intelligence and the piling-up of digital garbage. The space travel once dreamed of in science fiction never arrived — instead, cognitive debt has turned humanity, quite literally, into slop. The SLOPNAUTS are portraits of that humanity.

デジタル空間はAIスロップでゴミの埋め立て地になった。世界中の優秀なエンジニアたちは、人類の進歩や宇宙旅行のためではなく、人類の知性の退化とデジタル空間にゴミの山を築くために働いている。SF小説で夢見たような宇宙旅行はついに実現せず、認知的負債によって人類は文字通りSLOPになる。SLOPNAUTSは、そんな人類のポートレートだ。
